As a Paramedic I am very aware of the chalenges we face in EMS, the changes that need to take place and just how complicated this all is. As I begin to dive into how I can improve the industry through my skills I am reminded that the power of the video and a great cause can undoubtedly bring about change. I recently had the chance to sit down and spend some time with the IAEMSC during their quarterly meeting and what I found was all the while I was helping push a grass roots movement of EMS 2.0 and help providers come together to improve the industry from the boots on the ground, there are EMS Chiefs out there trying to do the same thing from the top down. Now not all organizations are perfect and I will be the first to recognize that we all have our reasons for pushing an agenda forward, I am personally inspired by the work that these chiefs are doing and I will be keeping a close eye on their recent submission of their collaborative White Paper they submitted to the White House for review.
